Bangkok’s brunch scene is getting louder, smokier, and significantly more festive. On Sunday, March 1st, 2026, La Monita Taqueria teams up with Chef Dustin Joseph and WE HUNGRY to host El Yucatán Brunch—a one-day daytime party inspired by the vibrant flavors and rituals of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula.
Designed as a full sensory experience, the event combines live DJs, immersive music, whole-hog Yucatán-style BBQ, and live painting, turning La Monita into an open-air celebration that blurs the line between a traditional brunch, a Latin party, and a cultural gathering.
A Culinary Journey to the Yucatán
The centerpiece of the event is a ceremonial Cochinita Pibil, featuring a whole hog slow-roasted in achiote and sour orange, served fresh throughout the day as tacos or plates. The limited-time menu, curated by Chefs Dustin, Mauricio, and Billy, dives deep into Yucatán territory.
Highlights include:
Black Chilaquiles
Huevos Motuleños
Longaniza Roja Omelets
Street-food staples: Salbutes, Castacán (crispy pork belly), Sikil Pak, and Queso Relleno shots.
On the beverage side, guests can expect brunch-ready cocktails with a tropical edge, including Piña Colada Highballs, Chaya Margaritas, Dirty Horchata, and classic Micheladas, all built for daytime drinking and long afternoons.
Music & Art
The energy will be driven by a lineup of live entertainment perfectly curated to match the fiery food.
Music: DJ Henry Knowles sets the pace with a mix of Latin, Salsa, Reggaeton, and Afrobeats, accompanied by a live performance from vocalist Lilly V.
Art: Renowned artist Chip 7 will be performing live painting during the event, adding a visual layer to the festivities.
With smoke rising from the pit and beats dropping from the booth, El Yucatán Brunch promises to be one of Bangkok’s most distinctive daytime food events of the season.
